The reality show being broadcasted in American Tele vision network for singing talent search has become extremely popular among the viewers. Simon Fuller has been very successful in taking the idea from British show ‘Pop idol’ and created his American idol reality show. The process of discovering best singer in the country is done by doing various auditions conducted by few nominated judges. The whole activity takes place before the camera and is televised in national channels. Viewers can thus form their own opinion right from the audition stage. Finally when competition begins, audience also takes part in the selection of winners at various stages by SMS polling or by telephone call.
