New Technology To Transform Power Cables
An Indian-American scientist from University of Houston is trying to develop a technology with high temperature superconducting wires which will totally revolutionize the way power is being generated, distributed and used in America. This superconducting wire can transmit ten times more power than the traditional copper cables being used. This new wire is considered to be more environments friendly and there will be very low transmission losses. According to the scientist, this superconducting wire can transmit uninterrupted power supply during any natural calamities like lightning or storms, which in case of present conventional wire systems, various circuits gets affected severely.
